The Division of Information Systems
(DIS) will implement a one (1) gigabit (1,000,000,000) GroupWise space maximum
per user - effective August 1, 2006.
Users exceeding the maximum, as of August 1, 2006, will continue to receive
email but will not be able to send email until the their space utilization
is less than the maximum.
A new GroupWise client software and GroupWise web-access WILL have a space
metering feature that allows you to monitor your space utilization on a real-time
basis. The new client setup icon should be on your "Network Delivered
Applications" screen VERY SOON.
The following are "Best Practices" for GroupWise Space Management.
1. Delete email that is no longer needed (Mailbox and Sent Items).
GroupWise is not to be used for permanent storage of emails and/or data files
(this includes GroupWise Shared Folder files) - we recommend that you store
data files on local or network storage media, then delete the original email.

2. Archive email is needed for the future.

.
3. Empty your GroupWise Trash - (VERY IMPORTANT)
From the main client page -
Right click on the Trash folder and select "Empty Trash"
This action will permanently delete all trash items from GroupWise.
